Privacy policy

The data controller is Samuel Viviani. For any question about your data you can write to hello@samuelviviani.com.

When you send a request from the Services page I collect:

• name and email, so I can reply;
• phone number, only if you choose to give it;
• the configuration you chose and the details you write about the project.

I use this data only to answer your request and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without it I can't reply; the phone number is always optional.

I don't use your data for newsletters or advertising, and I don't pass it on to anyone.

If the request doesn't turn into work, I delete the data within 24 months of our last contact. If you become a client, I keep it for as long as we work together and for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes.

To run the site I rely on a few providers, who process data on my behalf or as independent controllers:

• Vercel Inc. — hosts the site and receives form submissions;
• Google (Gmail) — delivers and stores the emails with your requests;
• Ko-fi — only on the About page, for the donation button.

Vercel and Google may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Like any website, the server logs technical data such as IP address, browser and requested pages, for security and to keep things running (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

For visit statistics and performance I use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights: aggregated, anonymous data, with no cookies and no identification of visitors.

The site uses no profiling cookies. It only stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser, which is technical and stays on your device.

On the About page the Ko-fi button loads an external script: if you use it to donate, Ko-fi's privacy policy applies.

You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (Arts. 15-22 GDPR). Just write to hello@samuelviviani.com.

If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

If I change anything in this policy, I update the date at the bottom of the page.
